Shale-Inland Holdings to integrate Main Steel Polishing, Metals Inc.
Shale-Inland Holdings LLC, Houston, a specialty industrial distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, and related products, has announced that it will integrate Main Steel Polishing Co. Inc. and Metals Inc. to operate as a single organization within its Fabrication & Distribution Services business platform. Both companies' core capabilities are in the flat products and metals processing businesses.
Main Steel operates four locations: Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Pittsburgh. Metals Inc. also operates four locations in Dallas; Houston; Mobile, Ala.; and Tulsa, Okla.
The combined business, known as Main Steel, will provide processing and tolling with buffing, cut to length, polishing, and slitting capabilities for sheet products, combined with existing value-added plate processing capabilities. The integration is expected to be completed by January 2014.
