Steel King Industries celebrates employee safety milestone
Steel King Industries Inc. has announced that its Stevens Point, Wis., manufacturing facility has achieved the safety milestone of no lost-time injuries (LTI) over a one-year time period.
Employees achieved the milestone on May 9, 2012, having logged nearly 136,800 hours of work without a single LTI.
In honor of the milestone, every qualifying employee at the Stevens Point facility received a sweatshirt marking the occasion, and their names were entered into a drawing for their choice of a fishing boat with motor and trailer or a four-wheel-drive ATV.
Steel King Industries manufactures material handling products, including pallet racks, dynamic storage systems, AS/RS racks, cantilever racks, portable racks, and custom shipping racks, along with industrial steel containers and guard railing. The company has two manufacturing facilities in Wisconsin and another in Rome, Ga.
