UniCarriers Americas announces executive appointments

UniCarriers Americas (UCA), formerly Nissan Forklift Corp., North America, Marengo, Ill., has appointed seven executives to new positions within the organization in response to rapid global growth in fiscal year 2012. The appointments are effective Oct. 1, 2013.

The leadership changes follow the appointment of current president of UniCarriers Americas, Akiri Shiki, to Tokyo-based position of COO for UniCarriers Corp., along with Satoru Omori, who is CEO.

Anthony J. Salgado has been named president of UniCarriers Americas. Salgado has been with the company since 2001 in progressing leadership roles covering the quality, manufacturing operations, and aftermarket operations departments, with his most recent role as vice president, manufacturing operations.

James J. Radous III has been appointed as executive vice president sales, Americas. In addition to leading the sales and marketing group, he adds two new key areas of revenue generation: business development and a newly created aftermarket group. He previously served as vice president, sales and marketing.

The company has promoted Steve Cianci from director of marketing to vice president, sales and marketing. In his new role, he establishes and directs all the strategic business sales and marketing initiatives for the Americas. This responsibility includes national account and channel sales growth, as well as directing key marketing communications and product management initiatives.

Dan Domberg has been named vice president, aftermarket customer satisfaction. He is responsible for establishing cohesive and reliable customer service processes, with responsibility for parts, technical support, training, fleet service management, inside sales, customer quality, warranty, and overall customer satisfaction. He served previously as director, customer quality and satisfaction.

Appointed to vice president, manufacturing operations, Dale Mark is responsible for leading the continued growth and advancement of the company's manufacturing and supply chain operations. He served most recently as director, manufacturing engineering and quality assurance.

Mark Manninen has been named to the newly created position of senior director, business and channel development. He is responsible for new business development opportunities, dealer channel management, and industry analysis. Before this promotion, he served as director, distribution management and sales intelligence.

The company has promoted Brian Markison to director of sales, North America, responsible for new equipment and parts sales through the dealer channel, as well as national accounts. Having joined the company in 2008, he most recently was senior manager, national accounts.

UniCarriers designs and manufactures material handling equipment, including the Nissan Forklift, TCM, Atlet, Barrett, and UniCarriers brands.
