MG Systems & Welding expands

MG Systems & Welding Inc., Menomonee Falls, Wis., a manufacturer of thermal cutting machines, has expanded its facilities for the second time in a year.

The first addition, completed last summer, increased office space. The new project will add 60 ft. by 238 ft. to the south side of the plant. The expansion will add 14,280 sq. ft. to the existing facility and provide nine additional workstations, along with a new demonstration area for potential customers.

The new workstations will incorporate a Focus Factory concept designed to enable assemblers to be responsible for JIT inventories and point-of-use storage of materials. The workstations will assemble the MetalMaster Plus and the new EdgeMax cutting machines. The company says dedicating the addition to these product lines will reduce lead-times, inventory, and material handling.
