Macsteel Service Centers expands with Florida facility

Macsteel Service Centers USA, Newport Beach, Calif., has expanded its business operations in the Southeast with the opening of a new, 60,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in Lakeland, Fla. The facility, which will service the state of Florida, stocks ERW pipe in Grades A, B, and seamless. Future plans call for the product line to include flat-rolled products.
Clint Bitzer has been named warehouse supervisor at the new facility. Don Whalen, sales manager, pipe products for the company's Southeast division, manages sales in the Florida territory. The company also has hired three employees to staff the distribution center initially.
