November 21, 2011

The Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI), Schaumburg, Ill., has added a Copper and Brass Specialty Division.

"This is the natural evolution of our organization," said MSCI President and CEO M. Robert Weidner III. "We strive to serve the networking, educational, advocacy, and research needs of our members with divisions including Tubular, Carbon, Carbon Flat Rolled, Specialty Metals, Carbon Plate, and Aluminum, with the latter being added in 2002. Creating the Copper and Brass Division is the next step in our progressive expansion to serve the metals industry."

MSCI membership includes metals distributors, producers, and product and service providers and aims to help build more productive businesses and business relationships. The association has nearly 400 members operating from almost 1,200 locations worldwide.
