NanoSteel names president of automotive

The NanoSteel® Co., a provider of nanostructured steel materials design in Providence, R.I., has announced that Craig Parsons has joined the company as president of the automotive business. Based in the company's new metro Detroit office, he leads its automotive initiatives and drives adoption of the company's new advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) sheet across the industry.

Parsons, an expert in automotive parts and production, has more than 20 years of experience in global supply chains, manufacturing processes, and new-product development. Before joining the company, he was vice president of sales and business development for Gestamp and president of Noble Intl. Ltd. Parsons has a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University, a master's degree from Michigan State University, and an MBA from the University of Detroit.
