Chicago Tube and Iron to expand Minnesota distribution center

Chicago Tube and Iron Co. (CTI), Romeoville, Ill., a distributor of steel tubing, bar, pipe, valves, and fittings, has announced plans for a $5.7 million expansion of its metals distribution center located in Eagan, Minn. The facility, home to the company's St. Paul Division, serves as a major hub supporting customers throughout the upper Midwest.

The expansion will add 40,000 sq. ft., enlarging the building's footprint by 44 percent to 130,000 sq. ft. Together with adding crane capacity and drive-through access, the expansion will increase the facility's logistics and throughput capabilities.
