AGA presents 2015 Excellence in Hot-Dip Galvanizing Awards

The American Galvanizers Association (AGA), Centennial, Colo., has announced the winners of the 2015 Excellence in Hot-Dip Galvanizing Awards. More than 100 projects were submitted, representing the versatility of hot-dip galvanizing. All submissions were judged online by a panel of architects and engineers.

The winners are:

• Most Distinguished - Lazy Magnolia Brewery, Kiln, Miss.
• Lifetime Achievement Award - Daytona International Speedway grandstands, Daytona, Fla.
• Recreation and Entertainment - Daytona International Speedway Daytona Rising project, Daytona, Fla.
• Recreation and Entertainment - Philadelphia Zoo Big Cat Crossing project, Philadelphia
• Artistic – Praying mantis sculpture, Burning Man Festival, Black Rock Desert, Nev.
• Water and Marine - Clackamas Hydro Project, Clackamas River, Ore.
• Water and Marine - Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards, North Vancouver, B.C.
• Industrial Award - Sept-Îles multipurpose wharf complex, Sept-Îles, Que.
• Bridge and Highway - La Romaine Bridge, Quebec
• Building and Architecture - Charlotte Douglas International Airport rental car facility and hourly parking deck, Charlotte, N.C.
• International - Austin Hospital car park extension, Melbourne, Australia
• Duplex Systems – Point Cadet Pavilion, Biloxi, Miss.
• Civic Contribution - Iowa State University Pavilion, Ames, Iowa
• Electrical, Utility, and Communications - Turris Systems mobile communication tower, Allison Park, Pa.
• Original Equipment Manufacturing - Cherry Creek Systems, Denver
• Food and Agriculture – Peotone elevator, Peotone, Ill.
• Transportation - Oakland Airport Connector, Oakland, Calif.M
