AK Steel announces carbon steel price increase, surcharges

AK Steel has announced that it is increasing spot market prices for its carbon steel products by $30 per ton for all new orders accepted for shipment May 1, 2006 and later.

The company also has advised its flat-rolled carbon steel customers that a $189 per ton surcharge will be added to invoices for products shipped in April 2006. And, it has advised its electrical steel customers that a $200 per ton surcharge will be added to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in April 2006.
