AMTI announces staff changes

Houston-based Alloy Metals and Tubes Intl. (AMTI), a distributor of nickel-alloy and stainless steel tube and bar, has hired Steve Martinez as warehouse operator and has promoted Denna Gatewood to director of quality assurance.

Martinez is responsible for creating an ergonomic intervention plan for the movement of tubular products in all of the company’s warehouses. He previously worked for CRI Packaging as a production planner. Before that he served as quality inspector for Neopal LLC.

In her new role, Gatewood is responsible for establishing a corporate quality assurance system that promotes ISO 9001:2008 compliance, as well as implementing industry-recognized best practices and establishing an effective quality management system. She joined the company in 2004 as an inside sales representative before being named general manager in 2007. Before that she was a consultant to small businesses.
