Andes Coil Processors increases slitting capability

Andes Coil Processors LLC has increased the slitting capacity at its Gary, Ind., toll processing facility with the installation of a second custom slitter.

The addition of the 60-in., fully refurbished machine with shape correction capabilities, which joins an existing 72-in. slitter at the plant, allows Andes Coil Midwest to process material between 0.0135 and 0.300 ga. up to 72-in. master coils; it can slit material as narrow as 0.500 in.

The company provides rail, warehousing, slitting, cut-to-length, and trucking services from locations in Gary and north Texas.
