Automotive executive joins NanoSteel board of directors

Nanostructured steel material design company The NanoSteel® Co., Providence, R.I., has appointed automotive industry executive Bob Lutz to its board of directors.

Lutz has nearly 50 years of experience as a top executive in the global auto industry. Most recently he was vice chairman of global product development at GM. Before that he served as president of Chrysler Corp. He also has held executive positions at Ford Motor Co. and BMW.

A former fighter pilot with the U.S. Marine Corps, Lutz currently is an executive consultant, industry analyst, media spokesperson, and author of two books, Car Guys & Bean Counters and Guts: 8 Laws of Business from One of the Most Innovative Business Leaders of Our Time.
