Baosteel orders Shapeline flatness system
Baosteel has placed an order for a flatness measurement system from Shapeline, Linköping, Sweden, to be installed at the high-strength steel plate mill at Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Shanghai. The laser-based flatness system is designed to measure up to 6.56-ft.-wide plates online with high precision.
System start-up is planned for fall 2013. It will be used for process control of the quenching and leveling processes.
