Braner/Loopco receives slitter order from Lane Steel

Braner/Loopco, Schiller Park, Ill., has received an order for a single-loop Turret Head™ slitting line to be installed at Lane Steel Co.’s McKees Rocks, Pa., flat-rolled steel distribution and processing center.

The line will have the capacity to process 60,000-lb. by 72-in.-wide high-strength coil in gauges from 0.012 to 0.250 in. Features include an entry straightener, 400-HP precision slitter with three quick-change heads, patented threadless slitter tooling lockup, loop control tensioning, precision shape-correction Cluster Leveler™, loop doubler for thin-gauge coil, recoiler with 2-min. ID change, and Andiamo system for hands-free threading of 31-slit strips.
