Braner/Loopco ships slitting line to Goldin Metals

Braner/Loopco, Schiller Park, Ill., has shipped and commissioned a precision shape-correction slitting line to Goldin Metals in Gulfport, Miss. The line can process 60,000 lb. by 72-in.-dia. surface-critical coated carbon steel and stainless coil in gauges from 0.008 to 0.135 in.

It features a two-head quick-change turret head slitter with pushbutton tooling lockup and an automatically set up precision shape-correction Cluster Leveler designed to correct edge-wave and center-buckle strip shape defects and deburr at 1,000 FPM.

A slit coil packaging line that straps and packages coils automatically for shipment rounds out the installation.
