Conference focuses on materials

Five materials-related societies have joined forces to create Materials Science & Technology 2005 (MS&T '05), a technical gathering on the latest developments in materials research and applications. More than 8,000 materials scientists and engineers are expected to attend the conference to be held Sept. 25-28 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

Organized and sponsored by the ASM International; American Ceramic Society (ACerS); American Welding Society (AWS); Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST); and The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), the event will include technical programs, lectures, alumni gatherings, and awards luncheons and dinners.

The ASM Heat Treating Society Conference & Exposition will be co-located with MS&T at the Convention Center.
