Constellium and Airbus sign multiyear agreement

Constellium, Issoire, France, has signed a multiyear agreement with Airbus, estimated at about $2 billion, to support all leading aircraft programs from Airbus and its parent company, the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS).

Under the new agreement, Constellium will supply Airbus with aluminum rolled products for airframes, including wing skin panels and stringers, aero-sheets for fuselage panels, and rectangular and premachined plates for structural components. The aluminum also will be used across all key Airbus and EADS programs, in particular the upper and lower wing skin panels for the A320 family of products.
