JMC Steel Group announces investment in VectorBloc

JMC Steel Group, Chicago, has announced it will provide capital and technical expertise for the support and development of VectorBloc, a structural connection system for modular construction developed by Vector Praxis, Toronto.

The main purpose of JMC’s investment is to develop the system’s potential in the modular construction marketplace. The system uses hollow structural sections (HSS) as the structural members of the modules, thus promoting the use of HSS in modular construction and making a suitable partnership for JMC.

JMC Steel Group, which includes the operating divisions of Atlas Tube, Picoma, Energex Tube, Sharon Tube, and Wheatland Tube, is an independent manufacturer of HSS and steel pipe.
