Just Sinks uses 90 percent recycled material in stainless steel

Just Sinks, Franklin Park, Ill., the residential sinks division of Just Manufacturing Co., has announced that newly melted stainless steel used in the production of its stainless steel sinks and faucets contains 90 percent recycled material.

Green efforts also affect byproducts of production, including scrap stainless steel, metal sludge, and oils. The shavings produced during polishing are separated and reclaimed by processors. Scrap stainless steel is collected and returned to the recycling process to once again be melted down to become new steel. The oils that are used for polishing are recycled internally and reused.
