Macsteel Service Centers acquires Alpha Steel
Macsteel Service Centers USA Inc. announced today that it has acquired the business and assets of PHA Steel LLC, operating under the brand name Alpha Steel, a privately owned steel service center located in Hammond, Indiana. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
Alpha Steel, a distributor of hot rolled and structural steel products, will operate under its existing name as part of Macsteel Service Centers USA Midwest Division. Its management will continue with the company.
Paul Athens, who previously was president and CEO of Alpha Steel, will remain with Macsteel Service Centers as president of the Midwest Division.
