Menges Roller expands capacity with CNC lathe
Menges Roller, Wauconda, Ill., has installed a Toolmex TUR930-1100MN CNC lathe capable of manufacturing industrial rollers up to 20 ft. long and 8,800 lbs.
The machine integrates seamlessly with the company's CAD department. Operators can upload completed design schematics directly to the new machine. The lathe's advanced milling functions allow the production of roller shafts, outer shells, and internal components to accuracies to one-tenth of 0.0001 in.
The company fabricates large process rolls for the allied steel, coil converting, metal polishing, paper, and plastics industries.
