MidWest Materials CEO receives award for service, leadership
MidWest Materials CEO Brian Robbins has received the President's Award from the Association of Steel Distributors (ASD), Chicago, for his commitment and leadership to the association and the steel industry. Other recipients of the award this year were Andy Gross, CEO of Alliance Steel LLC, and Tom McDonald, sales manager of Coil Slitting Intl.
Robbins has served for nearly 20 years as the CEO of MidWest Materials, a steel service center in Perry, Ohio. MidWest Materials' co-founder and Robbins' grandfather, Joseph Koppelman, was one of the founding members of ASD and served as the organization's president from 1968 to 1970.
