Nanshan America to build aluminum extrusion plant in Indiana
Nanshan America Co. Ltd., Chicago, has announced plans to construct an aluminum extrusion plant in Lafayette, Ind.
The new plant, to be named Nanshan America Advanced Aluminum Technologies, is expected to create more than 200 new jobs in the next two to three years. It represents a $100 million investment by parent company Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co. Ltd.
The facility will manufacture aluminum extrusions for the mass transportation, automotive, distribution, industrial, and electrical industries, as well as train-body material for high-speed rail. Production is expected to begin by the second quarter of 2012.
