Novelis appoints senior VP/chief HR officer

Atlanta-based aluminum roller and recycler Novelis has appointed H.R. Shashikant to the position of senior vice president and chief human resources officer. He previously served as group executive president, group human resources, for the Aditya Birla Group (ABG), the Mumbai-based conglomerate of which Novelis is a part.

In his 29-year career, Shashikant has held progressively senior HR leadership roles in a number of global organizations. He is an economics graduate from Karnataka University with a postgraduate degree in personnel management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
