RathGibson installs cleaning system at Arkansas facility

RathGibson, Lincolnshire, Ill., a manufacturer of welded, welded and drawn, and seamless stainless steel, nickel, and titanium tubing, recently completed a large capital project at its facility in Clarksville, Ark.

The company has installed a closed cleaning system that utilizes vacuum technology to prevent solvent release into the atmosphere. In addition to emission reduction, the system cleans or recovers the solvent to increase its cleaning and drying properties.

A worldwide manufacturer of highly engineered stainless steel, nickel, and titanium tubing for various industries, RathGibson says it chose the equipment—which it uses for in-process cleaning of seamless tubing—for its economic and environmental benefits.
