Registration for ISRI's 2008 Convention and Expo now open

Registration now is open for the 2008 Convention and Exposition of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI), Washington, D.C. The organization says the show, which runs April 6-10 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Center in Las Vegas, is the world's biggest scrap recycling industry event.

Under the theme "Nexxt: ISRI's Next Twenty Years," the convention will celebrate ISRI's 20 years in the recycling industry and explore the next 20 years. The convention will examine the contributions of ISRI and its members to the industry. It also will address issues the industry will face in the next two decades.

Workshops and educational sessions will feature nearly three dozen topics, including commodity spotlights. ISRI will also provide several extracurricular workshops for spouses, guests, and members throughout the event.

Registration and convention updates are available at the ISRI online registration system at www.isriconvention.org. Visitors to the site also can download forms for fax or mail in registration.

ISRI provides educational programs and works to promote awareness of recycling and its role in the U.S. economy, global trade, the environment, and sustainable development.
