Reliance Steel & Aluminum names Precision Strip president

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. has promoted Joe Wolf to president of its wholly-owned subsidiary Precision Strip, Inc. The promotion was effective January 1, following the retirement of President Tom Compton on December 31.

With a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio State University and nearly 30 years' industry experience, Wolf joined the company in 1985 and was promoted to vice president of operations in 2001. In his new position, he is responsible for all PSI operations and reports directly to David H. Hannah, Reliance CEO.

Don Bornhorst has been named Precision Strip vice president of operations. He is responsible for the Kenton, Bowling Green, Middletown, Rockport, Tipp City, Anderson, Talladega, Perrysburg, and Portage operations and reports to Wolf. A member of the management team for many years, Bornhorst joined Precision Strip in 1983 and was promoted to director of northern operations earlier this year.
