Reliance Steel CEO named MSCI chairman

The Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI), Rolling Meadows, Ill., has elected David H. Hannah, chairman and CEO of Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co., Los Angeles, as its chairman of the board effective July 1.

Hannah began his career as a CPA before joining Reliance in 1981. He was appointed a director of Reliance in 1992 and president in 1995. He was named CEO in 1999 and chairman in 2007. Hannah, who has served as a vice chairman of the trade association, succeeds Michael H. Hoffman, vice chairman of Kloeckner Metals, Newport Beach, Calif., who has served as chairman for the last two years.

MSCI is a 400-member organization for purchasers of steel, aluminum, and other metals.
