Silberline CEO leads aluminum industry delegation to China

Lisa Jane Scheller, CEO of Silberline Manufacturing Co. Inc., Tamaqua, Pa., recently led a delegation of aluminum industry representatives to the 2007 China Aluminum Forum in Chengdu, China.

A member of the Aluminum Association, Arlington, Va., board of directors, Scheller opened the 500-participant forum, chaired a meeting of U.S. aluminum suppliers and potential Chinese aluminum company suppliers, and co-chaired a joint meeting of the Aluminum Association and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association working group.

The other delegation members were Ed Hawks, marketing manager of Noranda Aluminum Inc., New Madrid, Mo.; David N. Hazelett, executive vice president of Hazelett Strip-Casting Corp., Colchester, Vt.; James Robertson, senior vice president of marketing and sales-industrial for Cattron Group International, Sharpsville, Pa.; Weiland Weigler, director of marketing for Cattron-Theimeg Inc., Sharpsville, Pa.; Richard Yost, director of marketing and business development for Wagstaff Inc., Spokane, Wash.; Steve Larkin, president of The Aluminum Association; and Nick Adams, vice president of The Aluminum Association.

The Aluminum Association represents U.S. and foreign-based recyclers, primary producers of aluminum, producers of semifabricated products, and aluminum-industry suppliers.
