Solar Atmospheres appoints VP corporate marketing, regional sales manager

The Solar family of companies, Souderton, Pa., including Solar Atmospheres, Solar Mfg., and Magnetic Specialties, has hired Douglas Glenn as vice president of corporate marketing.

For 20 years Glenn served as publisher of Industrial Heating magazine. He also founded FORGE magazine and served as publisher of Process Heating, Process Cooling, and Pollution Engineering. He served on the board of directors of both the Industrial Heating Equipment Association (IHEA) and the Metal Treating Institute (MTI) and was the first associate member president of MTI.

Solar Atmospheres of Western PA (SAWPA), Hermitage, Pa., has appointed Michael Paponetti as regional sales manager. He has 18 years of heat treating and brazing technical knowledge, having served previously as president of Expert Brazing and Heat Treating, Massillon, Ohio.

Solar Atmospheres provides vacuum heat treating and brazing services.
