Superior Tube, Fine Tubes awarded contracts by Airbus

Collegeville, Pa.-based Superior Tube and Plymouth, U.K.-based Fine Tubes, manufacturers and global suppliers of precision tubes for critical applications, have both been awarded contracts by airframe manufacturer Airbus, Toulouse, France.

This contract is Superior Tube’s first opportunity to supply Airbus with parts. For Fine Tubes, the contract is an extension of a long-standing relationship with Airbus. In addition to supplying stainless steel and titanium tubing for the A320, A330, A350 XWB, and A380 commercial aircraft models, Fine Tubes also will produce tubes for Airbus Defence and Space and Airbus Helicopters (formerly Eurocopter).

Fine Tubes and Superior Tube are a unit of Ametek Specialty Metal Products, a division of Ametek Inc., a manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices.
