Titanium 2009 scheduled for September

International Titanium Association's (ITA's) 25th Annual Conference, the only yearly event dedicated to the titanium industry, is slated for Sept. 13–16, 2009, in Hawaii.

The conference brings together executives from the major titanium companies and international experts across the supply chain – from raw material suppliers to producers, manufacturers, and distributors, along with vendors and end users, to analyze the state of the industry.

The mission of the conference is to give attendees global insights on supply and demand and the current conditions in key consuming market sectors. Presentations by executives from titanium-producing companies will cover the topics of world demand trends, world supply trends, and state of the titanium industry in Japan and China.

There will also be hourlong panel presentations about titanium applications, with time for questions and answers. More than 40 experts will focus on current topics in major consuming industries, including military and commercial aerospace and corrosion-resistant markets such as power generation, chemical processing, desalination, armor, and automotive.
