Tube City IMS receives 48 safety awards from the National Slag Association

Pittsburgh-based Tube City IMS Corp., a provider of outsourced industrial services to steel mills worldwide, has announced that a number of its sites have received a total of 48 safety awards from the National Slag Association (NSA) for 2013. The awards recognize superior performance as measured against OSHA recordable injury rates.

The company's operation in Knoxville, Tenn., received the award for 2013 Most Improved Job Sites for Safety. U.S. operations that received safety awards for Job Sites with at Least 200,000 Hours Since Last Recordable Accident are Beaumont, Texas; Cayce, S.C.; Gary, Ind.; Girard, Ohio; Horsham, Pa.; and Middletown, Ohio.

U.S. and Canada operations receiving safety awards for Lowest Incident Rate for employees are:
