United Performance Metals installs slitter
United Performance Metals' West Coast facility in La Mirada, Calif., has installed a 12-in.-wide slitter that can process coils from 0.015 to 0.125 in. thick.
The slitter allows the facility to keep lead times short and to deliver heavier-gauge slit stainless steel and nickel alloys within a few days, the company reports.
