WPI appoints associate director of Metal Processing Institute

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Worcester, Mass., has appointed Brajendra Mishra, PhD, as associate director of the university's Metal Processing Institute (MPI), effective in August 2015. MPI is dedicated to advancing the field of materials processing through research in the areas of metal casting, heat treating, and resource recovery and recycling.

Mishra currently serves as a professor of corrosion and physiochemical processing at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) and as associate director of the Center for Resource Recovery and Recycling (CR3), an NSF-supported, multiuniversity research collaborative based at WPI. He also will serve as the Kenneth G. Merriam Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
