Motoman appoints vice president, customer satisfaction group

Motoman Inc. has appointed Douglas Schenher as vice president of its Customer Satisfaction Group. He is responsible for field service, technical support, training, spare parts, robot refurbishment and repair, retrofit systems, and aftermarket support sales.

Schenher served in the Marine Corps and has more than 24 years' experience in customer service. He began his career as a field service technician for Measurex Systems. He was promoted to field technical manager in 1990 and manager of service operations in 1997.

After Honeywell acquired Measurex, Schenher became director of North American Project Operations in 1998 and director of project engineering, North American Industrial Control, in 1999. In 2000 he became vice president of Professional Services for DataStream Systems, an asset management software company, and most recently held the position of vice president Global Service Operations.
