Abrasive product line to expand

Saint-Gobain Abrasives Inc. has launched a new Norton product expansion program for the metal fabricating industry. The company will introduce hundreds of new abrasive products over the next year for use on right-angle grinders, random orbital sanders, pneumatic die grinders, and large-diameter cutoff machines.

Products will include new flap disks and fiber disks that feature a full resin bond system with heavy-duty fiber backing. The company also will expand its product offerings with depressed-center wheels for right-angle grinding and cutoff applications. Nonwoven depressed-center wheels and disks also will be included to expand right-angle grinder products into the cleaning, finishing, and polishing categories.
