Oberg Industries appoints director of quality and continuous improvement

Freeport, Pa.-based Oberg Industries, a contract manufacturer of precision machined and stamped metal components and precision tooling, has appointed Brian Stewart as director of quality and continuous improvement. He oversees the company’s global quality assurance strategy and execution and leads the company's process and efficiency improvement teams.

Stewart has more than 25 years of experience as an engineer and leader of quality and Six Sigma/lean operations. He served most recently as director of operational excellence at Ducommun-LaBarge Technologies. Before that he held management positions with General Electric, Honeywell Intl., United Technologies, and Eaton Corp., as well as Accellent Inc.

Stewart has an MBA from Franklin University, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University.
