Superflash Compressed Gas Equipment Division, IBEDA Inc., recently moved its headquarters and North American plant from North Olmsted, Ohio, to Westlake, Ohio. The renovated 27,000-sq.-ft. building has double the manufacturing capacity of the previous facility. The manufacturer of flashback arresters, quick connectors, check valves, and other safety products is a division of Applied Companies LLC.
The relocation follows an expansion and upgrade of the company's plant in Neustadt/Wied, Germany, last year. The Westlake facility, which houses administrative offices and employee training facilities, includes a temperature- and humidity-controlled LAN computer room. Most of the company's employees can be located anywhere on the 4.5-acre site by wireless telephones. The facility has a direct video link with the plant in Germany and wireless telephone coverage and computer access through a Cisco system that covers the entire site.
