Hypertherm announces changes to leadership team

Aaron Brandt

Hanover, N.H.-based Hypertherm, a manufacturer of plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems, has announced two leadership changes. Aaron Brandt assumes the role of vice president of engineering, while Hidde van Hoeven becomes business team leader for mechanized plasma.

Brandt oversees the company’s engineering team, which comprises more than 10 percent of the company’s associates—or 150 engineers. In this role, he will place greater emphasis on R&D and create additional synergy among the company’s engineering teams. He has 18 years of experience with cutting technology and is a named inventor on 10 Hypertherm patents. He has served the company as plasma design engineer, engineering manager, and business team leader of the mechanized plasma team.

Van Hoeven, who succeeds Brandt, is a nine-year company employee. He leads development of the next generation of high-precision plasma products like Hypertherm’s HyPerformance HPRXD and works closely with CNC, THC, and CAM software teams on the development of new Built for Business Integrated Cutting Solutions applications.
