Pacific Press offers upgrade program

May 12, 2009

Pacific® Press Technologies, Mt. Carmel, Ill., offers a program designed to upgrade older or outdated metal fabricating equipment and bring it back to productive life. The Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP) can remanufacture, rebuild, or repower existing hydraulic presses, press brakes, and shears in the field.

The program refurbishes and upgrades existing in-service equipment inside and out to perform to the desired production and safety standards. The program applies not only to the company's machines, but equipment from other manufacturers as well.

Machines can be modernized with such features as updated electronics, multiaxis backgauging, electrical upgrades, light curtains and guards, side locks, and laser bend alignment.

Most work can be performed at the existing machine's site. The process typically can be completed in 12 to 14 weeks. Upon project completion, the company ensures the updated machine is working properly and that its operators are trained.
