Allied Machine marks 75 years in business

Allied Machine & Eng. Corp., a manufacturer of holemaking and finishing tooling systems based in Dover, Ohio, celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2016.

The third-generation family-owned company was established in 1941 by Harold Stokey as a manufacturer of locknuts and taper sleeve adapters for troop carriers and tanks used by the Allied forces during World War II. The firm later transitioned to a contract/job shop manufacturing tapered bearing locknuts and accessories and entered the holemaking business in the 1960s.

Since 2012 the company has added 121,000 sq. ft. to its facility. Recent innovations include systems for drilling carbon fiber material used in the aerospace industry and precision holemaking systems for tight-tolerance applications in the automotive industry.
