Mate Precision Tooling opens Shanghai office, appoints sales manager

Mate Precision Tooling, a manufacturer of CNC punch press tooling in Anoka, Minn., has opened a new sales office in Shanghai, China. Wei Sun has been appointed China sales manager for the new office.

Sun is responsible for dealer and direct sales development in China and Hong Kong. He has a comprehensive background in sheet metal and fabricating and is fluent in English, German, and Chinese.

Before joining the company, he worked for TRUMPF® GmbH & Co. KG in Germany and China from 2003 through 2008. Most recently he worked for German industrial filter manufacturer Keller Lufttechnik GmbH & Co. KG at its representative office in Shanghai.

Sun has a degree in engineering from Karlsruhe University in Germany and studied at Tongji University of Shanghai.
