Lincoln Electric hosts wind tower welding seminars

Lincoln Electric recently hosted more than 120 industry professionals interested in learning more about wind tower fabrication for several daylong seminars.

Seminar attendees traveled from across the U.S. and as far away as Brazil and Portugal to the company's Cleveland headquarters. Each seminar featured an industry overview, technology sessions, and live welding demonstrations for companies already fabricating wind towers and those considering it.

According to Patrick Wahlen, Lincoln's global segment business director, power generation, the seminars provided guidance on capitalizing on the wind power market and gave an overview of the company's products. Attendees also had the opportunity to network with others who are in the business and share best practices.
