Retro Systems opens technical training center, adds staff
- April 12, 2012
- News Release
- Oxyfuel Cutting
Retro Systems has opened a technical training center adjoining its Valley Center, Kan., manufacturing facility. The 7,000-sq.-ft. training center includes offices, a student classroom, and a 4,500-sq.-ft. lab equipped with CNC cutting equipment for demonstrations.
Classes are offered for end users and dealers, covering process theory, machine operation, and preventive maintenance. The lab area includes multiple CNC cutting machines configured with high-definition plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment, as well as plate beveling and pipe cutting equipment. The facility is also used to host customers who visit the factory to review products.
The company has appointed John Noll as director of training. He has more than 40 years of experience in electrical design, R&D, and technical support, having worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Creare Innovations, Creonics, and Hypertherm. In this position, he develops technical training programs for Retro Systems' end users and channel partners.
Kenneth "Kenny" Tucker has been named regional sales manager for Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Colorado. He previously sold equipment to land-based oil and gas rig operators and OEMs across the U.S. and Canada.
Retro Systems manufactures CNC precision profile cutting machines for oxyfuel, plasma, and waterjet cutting processes.
