LENOX Mfg. plant earns OSHA Star - TheFabricator.com

LENOX®, a manufacturer of power tool accessories, hand tools, torches, solder, and band saw blades in East Longmeadow, Mass., has been recertified for an additional five years in OSHA's Star Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). The company has maintained this certification for 10 years.

OSHA's verification for the certification includes an application review and an on-site evaluation by a team of OSHA safety and health experts. Sites that earn certification must submit annual self-evaluations and undergo periodic on-site re-evaluations to remain in the programs.

The VPP promotes effective worksite-based safety and health. In the program, management, labor, and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system.
