LIA announces safety events

The Laser Institute of America (LIA), Orlando, Fla., has announced its safety training courses for the remainder of 2005. The schedule includes the following courses:

• Laser Safety Officer Training– Sept. 26-30, Portland, Ore.; Oct. 31-Nov. 4, Phoenix; Dec. 5-9, Orlando
• Applied Laser Safety– Aug. 16-17, Orlando
• Fundamentals of Laser Safety– Nov. 15-16, San Francisco

LIA also will host the 24 th International Congress on Applications of Lasers & Electro-Optics (ICALEO®) in Miami, Oct 31-Nov. 3.
