Morton Manufacturing Co. acquires YSD

Morton Manufacturing Co., Libertyville, Ill., has acquired all the assets of YSD LLC. Morton provides metal safety gratings and flooring for industrial, OEM, railroad freight car, and locomotive end users. YSD produces railroad running boards, end platforms, and brake steps, as well as industrial safety grating products under the original Apex design.

Morton will produce and ship YSD products from the Bridgeville, Del., plant and handle all sales inquiries and orders in Libertyville.
