Sandmeyer Steel announces retirement of inside sales rep after 46 years of service

Loretta B. Wysocki will retire from Sandmeyer Steel Co., Philadelphia, after 46 years of service. She joined the company on April 14, 1964, as a clerk typist for the sales department and then advanced the following year to executive assistant to the vice president of sales. Late in 1966, she transferred to the production department as clerical supervisor.

Wysocki graduated from St. Joseph's College (now St. Joseph's University), Philadelphia, in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. In 1973 she was promoted to the position of inside sales representative and has spent the balance of her career in that position.Wysocki has been an active member of the Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI) since 1987. She is a member of the Philadelphia Chapter, currently serving as international mentoring chair. She also has served as chapter president, regional secretary for the Northeast region, Northeast regional director, and international secretary and has served on committees including scholarship, bylaws, programs, and mentoring. She was recognized in 2002 as AWMI International Member of the Year.

Sandmeyer Steel Co. is a producer of stainless steel and nickel-alloy plate products used in capital equipment for the chemical and other process industries.
